“Terrazas de Flores” by Kimberly Suace

Being adventurous helps us look at life differently because we explore the place here in philippines especially in Cebu City. The familiar places can be comforting, calming and predictable however breaking our daily routine and exploring new places opens up new perspective and gets one’s creative. Terrazas de Flores is one of the newest cafes and it compromise the beautiful attraction here in Cebu Terrazas de Flores is located in Malubog, Cebu City its about 200 to 250 meters (7 minutes) away from Tops Lookout .Terrazas de Flores is known to be the only flower terraces in the Philippines. Aside from its cafe, Terrazas de Flores has a vast area with wide range of plants and over 100 types of flowers you can take a picture of you want.Terrazas de Flores Botanical Garden might be the one can catch up your interest.
Terrazas de Flores botanical garden has a variety of ornamental and non-ornamental plants planted in terraces overlooking mountain ranges it came into the limelight when the Sirao Flower Farm opened its doors to the public.Aside from the plants, the garden has a number of cabanas, a perfect place to relax and unwind because of it’s sorrounding many tourist visited here just to take a good pictures, all i can say is perfect-picture almost everywhere.Definitely a perfect place for rest and relaxation, away from the stress. So, the popularity of flower gardens is expected to increase following the opening of the first flower terraces in the Philippines, the Terrazas de Flores Botanical Garden.ENTRANCE FEE
The entrance fee is 100 Pesos (P100) only wherein the forty pesos (P40) is consumable. There is a parking area uphill, atop the entrance. The road going up is steep and narrow (about 3-meter wide only), so add this to your expectation when you get there on a private vehicle. Parking is free and also they’ve got limited parking slots so I’d suggest you go early.Terrazas de Flores open at 8 AM to 8 PM and the food attendant stated it is open 24 hours but just be there between 8:00am to 8:00pm just to be sure. When go inside you feel and see the place was still relaxing and not too crowded since the botanical garden is very spacious. They have a fixed rate of P100 per entry, which is reasonable for a place that is clearly well-maintained. If you are a kind of person that is sensitive when it comes cleanliness, i recommend you that this place is perfect for you to visit. The place also has a café where visitors can have a light meal or coffee. The café also offers desserts and other refreshments.Their Cafe has around 5 or 6 tables (correct me if I’m wrong). Gotta love its relaxing and homey vibe! And about the consumable forty pesos (P40), you can claim it at the restaurant situated in the middle of terraces and you think it is not enough, the place has a cafe/restaurant to feed your hungry stomach, so you may bring some extra cash with you when you go there. If you want to go there at any day of the year, the perfect spot is the cabana and the outside of the cafe or the benches underneath a bamboo tree (might be your perfect spot). In addition, viewing decks and cabanas are available for use by visitors to give them the chance to enjoy the beauty of nature in its full glory. We availed their Php 2,000 Valentine’s Day package wherein it includes FREE entrance and cabana during daytime, a bottle of wine, cold cuts and cheese, and coffee for two. They also serve rice meals, sandwiches, pasta and pizza. However, some of the items are not yet available as they are still improving their food and drink menu. I’d suggest you order food or drinks before exploring the place as their food takes a while to be served. There are many ways to getting there: so, first,
1.If you are a group going there, the best way to get there is to rent a van for hire and tour Tops, Top of Cebu, Temple of Leah and Terrrazas de Flores – they are just a few meters away from each other. (You may want to check out GoToTops Facebook Page).
2.You can also hire a taxi, Grab or Uber and tell the driver you will be going to Terrazas de Flores.
