Welcome to Neri’s Ville, Cebu City’s selfie corner!
Neri’s Ville is named after Christine Neri, who owns the site, located in Sitio Bombil. She is a professional flight attendant and as part of her duty most likely frequents the two countries. She was thinking about recreating some of the attractions of this country in her village and Neri’s Ville came to fruition. Only last September 2018, the place was opened to the public.
The concept of Neri’s Ville is inspired by the different Bali selfie parks like Wanagiri Hidden Hills and Wisata Selfie Park in Danau Buyan with the installation of various life-sized “instagrammable” corners patterned after the two like Bird’s Nest, Sunflower Stage and more! Added attractions are the hobbit houses that are obviously Hobbiton’s recreation in New Zealand, the location for filming.
RATES AND OTHER NERI ‘S VILLE INFORMATIONS:
Neri’s Ville is open Tuesday to Sunday from 8 am to 5 pm. P50 per person is the entrance fee. Expect more on – site developments and enhancements as they are still in soft opening.
How to get to Neri’s Ville?
Exact Location: Sitio Bombil, Barangay Lusaran, Cebu City
Colon is just a 40-minute drive from Neri’s Ville Selfie Corner. You can easily get to this place by using a private vehicle or by following this route via jeepney.
Via jeepney: You can take a jeepney ride from downtown Cebu City going to Talamban via Pit-os. You can alight at the gasoline station in Brgy. Pit-os, where there are many habal-habal that will take you to the site. Hire a habal-habal that will take you to Sitio Bombil and tell the driver to drop you off in Brgy. Lusaran. The fare is usually Php80 per person (one way).
Via private car: If you are using your own car and coming from Cebu City, you can take Gorordo Avenue and head north to the Cebu Transcentral Highway. Go straight up north where you will pass by Brgy. Busay, the Terrazas De Flores Botanical Garden, and the Cottage in the Sky (Basubas Farm), before you can reach Brgy. Lusaran.
You can also navigate for a fast travel time using Waze or Google maps.
TIPS:
* Bring your own food and beverages as they have no restaurant yet. But they’re selling water bottled and there are small vendors in the area.
* On weekends and holidays, the place can be crowded.
* Clean STRICTLY as you go if you choose to eat. Be responsible!
*Keep your belongings in mind. Bathrooms are available for nature calling and changing costumes.
* Only 30-45 minutes drive from Colon, another 30 mins from the highway to Brgy. Lusaran. Road is concrete.
* DO NOT expect too much from this attraction as it’s still under construction. There will put more decorations and will soon accommodate overnight guests.
Beauty is a choice, like happiness. No matter how pleasing the neighborhood or an individual is, it becomes difficult to feel happy and contented if you are under the weather or simply choose not to appreciate what is in front of you. We all encounter rough days; but is the world not too broken and our lives too short to be hated and dull? If you look around, there’s so much for you.
