The Café:

Owned by Mr. Miguel Cho, a 28-year – old Korean interior designer, the café is made up of 10,000 LED – powered artificial roses and is said to be viewed from dusk to night better.

In February this year, the café opened its doors to the public and was the result of Mr. Cho’s desire to bring to the Philippines part of the famous attraction of his hometown, the 20,000 Lighted Rose Garden in Dongdaemun, South Korea.

He envisages it as a symbol of love and even plans to expand the café and ultimately turn it into a symbol of love between two people. He also plans to set up a fence where couples can hang locks for each other as a declaration of love. He added that he wants the 10,000 Roses Café to be a place where marriage can bring people together. He contemplates the bride walking down a rose-and-sun aisle across the horizon.

Romance may florish:

Cho said he wanted to create a place where romance could flourish and a man could make his girlfriend a proposal. He added that he wanted it to be the beginning and ending of love stories. Locals ‘ attention was attracted by the place after they noticed the roses lit up the area at night. While the café does not charge entrance fees, if they want to visit the café, the local government asks visitors to pay an environmental fee for PHP20. The best time to visit the café is at night when the LED roses create a romantic atmosphere for its guests. The wall of the café also has a huge flower that lights up together with the roses.
